TRG Sportscar Programs
Professional Sportscar Racing
The
Racer's Group made the transition from club racing to professional
racing in 2001. Since then, TRG has consistently upped the ante in the
pro racing circuits, bringing the best crew, drivers, equipment and cars
to every event, making the competition push hard to race at the top of
their game.
TRG has proven its abilities in 24 hour endurance races- some of
the most harsh conditions to put a car and team through- by winning
overall at the Rolex 24 at Daytona in 2003, and taking the GT class wins
at the 2002 Rolex 24 and 2003 24 Heures du Mans, as well as third Rolex
24 victory in 2009.
We
also have proven success at season-long competitions, winning the 2006
Grand American Rolex GT Class Team and Drivers Championships, and
bringing Pontiac the Manufacturers Championship. TRG also took home the
2005 GT Class Team trophy.
While season championships are the long term objective, TRG
management and crew eyes every race as the goal, building momentum
throughout the season. Consistency is key, and TRG brought it with the
Pontiac GTO.R program in 2005 and 2006. One or both of the TRG GTO teams
stood on the podium for 23 straight races, dating back to mis-season
2005. And in six of the races since the introduction of the GTO.R, both
teams have graced the podium. Its a testament to the proparation,
commitment, and abilities of every member of the TRG racing team. You
will not find a better team in auto racing.
Since
then, TRG has continued their heritage with Porsche by becoming the
winningest team in GRAND-AM history. With more wins than any other team
in 2007, as well as 2010, TRG has become synonymous with winning both on
and off the track.
TRG not only brings crew and equipment to the table, but also
some of the most innovative marketing programs in auto racing. Several
times a year, we bring in guests for a total immersion weekend- that's
right- you get to be on the pit crew! Our ability to get you right into
the action is second-to-none.
