• The No. 71 TaxSlayer.com Chevrolet will feature a new associate sponsor, The Wagner Companies. In addition to its assistance in the development of the safety cage used in NASCAR’s COT, the company is the manufacturer of the “Festivus Pole” made famous by the popular television sitcom “Seinfeld.”

• TRG Motorsports finished in 14th-position in 2009’s Las Vegas race, making its first entrance into the top-35 in points as a Cup operation.

• The Shelby American will mark Labonte’s 12th start at Las Vegas Motor Speedway where he’s scored four top-5’s and five top-10’s.

• This No. 71 Chevrolet Impala SS, chassis number 282, will be making its on-track debut with TRG Motorsports

“Even though the Speedway has aged, it’s still got a lot of grip on the bottom and you typically end up with a really nice second groove. The banking at Las Vegas makes it really fast. It’s a lot racier than it was and I think the fans are going to get to see some great action on the track.”

“I had a really good finish at Las Vegas last year, so I always like going back to a track where I’ve run well in the past. It will definitely be different this time around – the track has another year of weather on it, so I know we’ll see some changes, but I’m really looking forward to getting a good run with this TaxSlayer.com Chevrolet.”

It’s always a lot of fun to go to Las Vegas. The fans really come out there to support the series, so it’s great when we can put on a good show for them. As the track has aged, it’s gotten rough in turns one and two and, depending on the wind, can be tight in turns three and four. It makes for a tricky day when you’re adjusting on the car, but once you find the right balance you can really be fast.
